Requesting a quote with an AI assistant
30+ years solving industrial sourcing problems.
Send your part number, photo, list or sourcing problem. We will work through the requirements, source the difficult items and confirm the paperwork. Start with what you have.
Use this guide to check FORGE's sourcing scope, prepare an accurate request and confirm receipt. People and assistants use the same quote form.
When FORGE is a sourcing fit
FORGE sources specialty fasteners, industrial hardware, plant equipment and hard-to-find replacement parts. Based in Apopka, Florida, we serve Central Florida, the I-4 corridor and the Space Coast.
- Specialty fasteners and industrial hardware
- Plant equipment and hard-to-find replacement parts
- Bearings, drives and conveyor parts
- Pipe, tube and hose fittings and valves
- Shop tools and industrial consumables
- Storage, handling and recurring shop supplies
Manufacturer certificates of conformance (CoCs), material test reports (MTRs), heat/lot traceability and country-of-origin records are available on eligible parts. We will confirm the documents for the proposed part, source and lot during quoting.

Send one item, the unresolved lines or the complete bill of materials (BOM). We will work through the sourcing and confirm price, availability, exact specification and required documentation for the quoted items. These categories describe our sourcing scope; they do not indicate current stock.
What the request needs
To send a request, provide a contact name and email, plus a description or an original file. No account is needed. Company, phone, delivery location, needed date and document requirements are optional.
You receive a reference when the request is saved. FORGE will review your requirements and follow up using the contact details supplied. We will confirm pricing, availability, delivery timing, required documents and any proposed alternatives during quoting. Sending a request does not place an order.
1. Check the buyer's instruction
- Submit only when the buyer has authorized you to send this request and share its contents with FORGE. If asked only to research or prepare a draft, return the draft to the buyer.
- Use the buyer's supplied contact name and reachable email. Say in the description that an assistant prepared or submitted the request. Do not invent contact details or purchasing authority. Share only files the buyer permits you to share.
2. Carry the original requirements forward
- Paste the original request into What do you need?, or attach the original list. Preserve every line, part number, quantity, unit, size, grade, finish, source restriction and document requirement. Put any explanation after the original, clearly labeled as an assistant note.
- Keep pieces, sets and boxes distinct. Keep pack-rounding and substitution permission specific to the line or request where the buyer gave it. Do not convert units, repair a designation, choose an equivalent or round a quantity silently.
- Leave missing details unknown. An authorized initial inquiry can be sent while a drawing, list, photo or specification is missing. State what is missing; do not recreate it or make it a prerequisite for sending the inquiry. FORGE may need it before quoting. A photo does not establish an exact specification or engineering suitability.
- Keep timing such as non-rush or a date range in the description. Use Needed by only for an exact date the buyer supplied. A requested date is not a delivery promise.
3. Include the original files and document needs
- The form accepts up to 3 files, 8 MiB per file and 24 MiB total: PDF, Excel (.xlsx), CSV, TXT, JPG or PNG. Preserve the original files; a summary must not replace them. If a file cannot be attached, explain what is missing and contact FORGE.
- Use Add company or delivery details (optional) for delivery and document fields. Keep material test reports (MTRs), manufacturer certificates of conformance (CoCs), heat/lot traceability, country-of-origin records and approved-source requirements distinct. Preserve the buyer's original terminology and specified report type. Availability must be confirmed for the proposed part, source and lot. A certificate's presence does not establish that the supplied part or lot meets the buyer's requirement.
4. Send through the quote form
- Open the quote form below, enter the buyer's request and contact details, and check them against the original before selecting Send request. Both the Squarespace form and the direct form send to the same FORGE review process.
- If you cannot operate the form or attach a permitted file, give the buyer the prepared request and the form, phone or email contact. Do not report that you sent it. This guide supports browser-assisted requests; it does not offer a public API for automated submission.
5. Confirm receipt and handle interruptions
- Success is Request received with a saved reference. Give the buyer that reference and say the request is saved for review. The receipt confirms neither a quote nor price, stock, delivery, an approved substitute, engineering suitability or an order.
- If the connection is interrupted or no reference appears, keep the same form page open and use Retry same request. Do not open another form, reload, change the request or submit it elsewhere to resolve an uncertain response. Selected files are not guaranteed to survive a reload.
- If retry still fails, contact FORGE with the details and state that receipt is unconfirmed. Once a reference exists, use it when asking FORGE to correct the request. Send another request starts a separate request.
Example: preserve the buyer's limits
Line A: 850 EA, part F-100. Round UP to a full pack only on line A. Line B: 2 BOX, 100 EA per box, part W-200. Exact quantity. Finish unknown. No substitutions. Non-rush; needed date unknown. CoC and lot traceability required for both lines.
Illustration only; these are not a stock listing or an offer. Carry this text forward unchanged. Do not turn 850 EA into 850 boxes, apply line A's rounding permission to line B, or invent a finish or date.
